We fund sustainable projects, which involve the participation of the local community in developing and maintaining the projects. We work on a holistic concept, which is inclusive of all segments of a local population.<\/p>\n<p>PID is a nonprofit, nongovernmental (NGO) organization, incorporated in 1998 as a 501 \u00a9 (3). Leadership of Partners In Development is vested in a Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Our Core Values<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote better health care, education and training for the poor.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with marginalized and oppressed people.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with local communities to build income-generated capacities, involving job creation, so that they are economically empowered to uplift their status and improve their standard of living.<\/li>\n<li>Listen to, value and address the particular needs of people who are under-represented or absent from leadership and decision-making, and to develop effective strategies to ensure full participation, which results in productive communities.<\/li>\n<li>Risking investment in projects, which may never be high profile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Partners In Development (PID) forges partnerships with local communities and other nongovernmental organizations.
