Currently we are looking for financial contributions to support projects in schools, sponsorships for children for secondary education and various water and income-generation projects.

Volunteer With Us

Many volunteers have come to visit our works sites and to support our projects including our building projects, providing educational support, teaching sports to school children and in many other capacities. We are always looking for giving individuals looking to work with us to support our mission. Volunteering provides opportunities to learn about the communities in which we work, and issues related to water access and food security, education and healthcare practices. We are currently seeking volunteers to support us in the following areas:

Tutoring for children in math, science and english, particularly before exams and during school breaks
Sports training with children of all ages including basketball and volleyball (we have hosted several basketball camps through June and July)
Volunteers to come visit our work sites and observe our water-well projects, school support and to observe and provide support on all of our ongoing projects

Items Needed for Donation

On an ongoing basis, we deliver althetic equipment to schools and purchase and deliver textbooks. We also look for many other types of donations. The following is a list of items that we are currently seeking. These are some of the many ways that you can help.

Water Wells $2,500

Provides the essential tools, labor and equipment for a water well for a rural village.

One-time donation
Water location service hired
Use of rented equipment and by local labor
All equipment for the well and pump
Training local community for maintenance of the water well

Treadle Pumps $2,500

Provide a treadle pump, a necessary tool for rural farming, to a small village farm to feed the community and provide income generation.

One-time donation
Provides a foot-operated treadle pump equipment
Drip irrigation system included as needed
Training for local community for use and maintenance

Enviro-Education $1000

Formation of an environmental education club for students.

One-time donation
Provides funding for the club start-up
Educate on environmental issues and protecting wildlife
Training sessions, textbooks and educational materials
Field trips and visitations from local game rangers

Student Scolarship $5,000

Sponsorship of a child in secondary school (equivalent of high school) who lacks the funding and means to attend school beyond the basic level.

One time donation
Includes transport, school fees, uniforms and books
Covers all four years of secondary school
Check in with the student to ensure quality educational experience

Summary of Needs

Water and Income Generations Projects:

Funding for treadle pump & drip irrigation system ($2,500 includes materials and installation)
Funding for water well ($2,500 includes materials and installation)
Funding for boreholes ($10,000 for labor and materials)
Funding for transport and training after water well installation

Building Projects:

Back-up generator ($25,000)
Water Holding Tanks & Stands ($5,000)
Booster pumps ($2,000)

Athletic Equipment for Schools:

Good condition used or new sports uniforms
Money for student gym shoes
Whistles for organized sports
Basketballs and basketball nets
Soccer balls
Volleyballs

Environmental Education Club: Donation to form an environmental education fund, with possible future funding to maintain this effort. Funding will go toward educating children on issues related to the importance of taking care of the environment and the value of protecting wildlife. This will be accomplished through educational training sessions, textbooks and educational materials, field trips and visitation experiences with local game rangers.
